I recently read this article, Why Women Make Excellent Entrepreneurs in the Digital Age, and thought it was so good that I had to share it. It talks about women in today’s workforce. One statistic in this article that stuck out to me was in 2010, women became the workforce majority for the first time in the United States. I find this fascinating and encouraging. For far too long women were not given even close to equal opportunities as men in the workforce. Unfortunately that is still the case in some areas, but reading this article is very enlightening and really shows how far we have come as an equal opportunity society.
This article shows how the opportunities for women are growing and get more and more creative, especially in this day and age. Technology has made it easier for women to have a career, while having the ability to raise a family.
The Digital Age and Childcare
…Virtual workplaces and digitally mobile lifestyles give aspiring women entrepreneurs the flexibility to achieve that balance. Digital tools mean that women can now build a business from home and create unique work schedules.
The women I have worked with tend to be more focused on flex time and alternative schedules so they can be with their families. The internet and working from home have allowed women to have this opportunity like never before.

History has proven that women can step up and take on what needs to be done. It has always amazed me how women—can organize and prioritize and be a great contributor on her job, at home, and with their children. This takes so much skill and talent. It is like we are born with these project management capabilities. I treasure and learn so much from my female friends.
Nicely put Dr. Cris Green. Thank you!
