How do you find a job that fits you? Start with fulfillment. All of us want to feel fulfilled in some way shape or form by the work we do, whether it’s in our careers or outside work in volunteering etc. I spoke about this at GA Tech recently, here’s some of the information I shared.
“There’s good news and bad news…Bad news is recent studies show that 87% of Americans don’t like their jobs and 80% aren’t passionate about what they do. The good news is it doesn’t have to be that way. We all have an internal compass that tells us when we are on or off track. And we have to learn to listen to it. Often we get so busy we ignore this internal voice, and end up years later with a life or job that isn’t quite a fit. So tune in to your internal compass, your passion or sense of purpose, in order to get back on track with creating the life you want.”

I agree. Many times we do take the time to step back to see if our life journey is taking us to the life we aspired to and wanted to create. Take the time—over a cup of coffee in the early morning to really reflect. It works for me.
